Here at echo artworks, we have always been avid recyclers, energy misers and repurpose masters.  However, there are not always environmentally friendly business options, particularly when fabricating new jewelry.  That does not mean you cannot run an ecologically friendly jewelry design business-we are proof of that.  Here are some of the ways we a protecting the planet and its limited resources while operating a successful business.

First, all of our fabricated metals (gold, silver & copper wire & sheet) is reclaimed metal, not strip mined.  If you have ever seen a strip mining operation (or the aftermath of one), you know how destructive, polluting and environmentally damaging they are.  We have chosen not to participate in damaging our planet in unneccessary ways.

Second, all of our packaging is made from recycled content.  We highly encourage you to reuse, recycle and repurpose all the packaging we use to carefully wrap your treasures.  Heck, we even give you money to reuse your bags (we also make a donation to a local charity when you reuse your recycled bags).

Third, recycling-we recycle everything.  Paper, plastic, glass, metal, precious metal (see reclaimed metal above), lightbulbs (we use compact fluorescents in most of our lights and have converted our project lights & outdoor safety lights to solar), food scraps, water, even Pixie's dog hair gets reused for felting projects around here.
